I recently completed my Master’s degree in Theory and Criticism. I have undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Photography. As a Master’s student I was a teacher’s assistant (TA) in Women’s Studies, and I currently am an adjunct professor in Sociology. My specific interests include the institutionalization of social inequality, sexual subjectivity, theories of masculinity, the discursive production of gender and sexuality, phallocentrism and heteronormativity, post-structuralism, and Foucauldian theory.
I also write a blog called don’t ya wish your girlfriend was smart like me?: a blog of cultural criticism and media analysis with a shot of feminism and a twist of wit.
