This blog is a sort of diary of my extra-academic reading. My entries will provide summaries, analysis, and questions raised by the theoretical/philosophical work I’m reading, as well as social and political issues I am thinking about as a result of teaching Sociology 101. I will also include some of my own academic writings. All material on this blog is copyrighted under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License. I have this blog as a way to get out in-process pieces of academic thought to put up for discussion by those who have a similar enough background to critically and constructively engage with the thought put forth.
This blog is theory-intermediate. This is not an entry-point into feminism nor is it intended to explain basic feminist concepts; it is also not an introduction into social and political analysis. If you are a newbie to critical and theoretical thought, welcome (!), but please see the comments policy.
